Nutricare and Sunrise hurdled their respective rivals with ease to make it to the win column of the Chinoy Liga Season 2 at the Winterpine Basketball Court in Quezon City.
Showing more balance production, particularly from its second unit, Sunrise walloped Bosny, 79-65, as three players produced in double figures. Among the players who made key contributions include Geordann Liao, Arman Ancheta and Alexander Brondial.
Brondial had a solid all-around game, finishing with a double-double output of 13 points and 13 rebounds. he was backed up by Liao, who led the point-production with 19 points and two steals while Ancheta came away with 14 points, six rebounds and a block for Sunrise, which generated 36 points from p[layers coming off the bench, 12 more than its counterpart.
Equally superb was Nutricare, which demolished Eco Energy, 79-66.
Team captain Henrison Nash set the tone for Nutricare’s dominance of its rival as he pumped in 16 points, dished out five assists and completed three steals while Steven Hu added 14 markers to go along with six rebounds. Godwill Capaline added 10 makers and seven boards for Nutricare, which scored 20 points from points of turnovers compared to eight of Eco Energy.
Nutricare led by as many as 28, 64-36, before the end of the third, but was outscored by Eco Energy in the final period, 23-13.
