Omote reasserted its dominance while CW Home Depot made its presence felt with authority in the Chinoy Liga Season 2.
Hitting 50.6% from the field and drawing double-digit production from five players, Omote ran roughshod over Belle, 91-69, and grabbed the early lead in this event presented by Chinoy TV, Aozi Pure Natural Organic Pet Food, Outlast, CMARIN Hardware, Diagnostic Plus, Inc., L.A. Sauce Sneaker Laundry, Moon Hey Hotpot and Grill and Gladiator.
Omote hit 11 three-point shots, three each coming from Martin Ang, Mallechi Lim and Erik Marcel0 even as Chester Garcia and Axell Cue made key contributions. All players wound up in double figures with Ang leading the way with 21 points on a steady 9-of-12 shooting from the field.
Lim added 20 markers while Garcia contributed 12 points. Marcelo and Cue each came up with 11 points for Omote, which scored 29 points coming from points from turnovers, 21 more than its counterpart.
Omote also displayed its bench depth as its second unit produced 49 points compared to only five by its rival.
But while Omote had no problems beating down Belle, CW Home Depot outclassed Eco Energy, 105-67.
Nine players scored eight points or more for CW Home Depot, which displayed its more balanced firepower over its counterpart.
CW Home Depot’s bench generated 66 points, which were 38 points better than Eco Energy.
As far as point-production inside the shaded lane, CW Home Depot also pumped in 62 points compared to only 24 fopr Eco Energy.
Gershom Montes tallied 11 points while Travis Chan added 10 for CW Home Depot.
