At first glance, former Gilas Pilipinas player Jordan Heading appears to be the kind of player the TNT Tropang Giga needs.
Although he hasn’t joined the scrimmage yet, Heading’s perimeter shooting and versatility playing both guard spots will be essential for the Tropang 5G’s playoff run, according to team manager Jojo Lastimosa.
“He looks really good,” wrote Lastimosa in a Viber message to Pinoystep.com. “He should be ready by the playoffs.”
Heading was acquired by the Tropang 5G in a trade with Mikey Williams, who was sent by his previous squad to Converge after a falling out due to contractual dispute.
TNT is already depleted at the guard spot with Heading not seeing action yet and the team missing two other key players in veteran ace guard Jayson Castro and Rey Nambatac.
The Tropang 5G, though, expect Nambatac and Heading to join forces when they try to push deeper to the playoffs before thinking of their grand slam aspirations.
