Gen San jumped the gun early on Ilagan Isabela and blasted the home team with a barrage of points from everywhere to set the tone for a quick breakaway en route to scoring a 90-83 win on Saturday night in the MPBL 2025 Season at the Capital Atena in Ilagan, Isabela.
The Warriors hit 14 three-point shots, four coming from Kyle Tolentino, who ended up with 16 markers.
Tolentino’s hot shooting also rubbed off on several other players like Nico Elorde, Mark Cruz, Val Acuna and even Rene Pacquiao, who each hit two treys in the game.
Pacquiao set the tone for Gen San’s early breakaway where he scored most of his 12 points and that early run in the first period where the Warriors scored was a good investment for the squad, which posted a 16-point lead (22-6).
It was the fourth win in eight games for the Warriors while also dealing the Cowboys their fifth loss in nine matches.
