San Juan kept the good times going and for the fifth straight, the Knights were successfully in putting away their rivals.
On Thursday night, the Knights handed the Batangas City Tanduay Athletics a whipping, 72-63, to remain as one of the few unbeaten teams in the MPBL 2025 Season at the Filoil-EcoOil Centre in San Juan.
Orlan Wamar posted a double-double game of 14 points and 10 assists as his excellent playmaking brought the bets out of the rest of the Knights team, which played every bit of a champion team. The 2019 national champion is currently running second in the northern division behind tournament leader Nueva Ecija Rice Vanguards, who are sitting on top with a 7-0 win-loss record.
Bataan arrested a three-game losing skid and vented its ire on Imus, 94-77.
Doms Vera caught fire and hit 20 points, powering the Risers to only their second win in seven matches.
Bataan’s rise to the win column was made possible by its torrid shooting with Vera sinking in five treys and Rhinwill Yambing hitting three. Jeff Santos also contributed by making two three-point shots as collectively, the Risers were able to sink in 14 triples.
As a team, the Risers also played much better, dishing out 31 assists, which were 13 more than their rivals.
