Javee Mocon is excited for the restart of his PBA career with new team, NLEX Road Warriors.
And there’s a better reason to fee more excited as he will be reunited with his college teammate, Robert Bolick.
“Of course, I’m excited because of the familiarity,” Mocon told Pinoystep.com in a telephone interview. “Hindi na ako masyadong maninibago, but I’m also excited learning from Coach Jong (Uichico). I’ve never played for him, but I’ve seen how systematic his system is, so I’m eager to learn.”
Mocon and Bolick played together several years ago, winning three championships while joining forces for the San Beda Red Lions.
The 6-foot-3 Mocon is coming off a three-season stint with Phoenix, but also played three years with Rain or Shine where he had the finest seasons of his PBA career.
Now Mocon is eager to prove his worth with the rebuilding Road Warriors team that is looking to consistently figure in the playoffs.
NLEX board governor Ronald Dulatre added that Bolick didn’t persuade them to acquire Mocon, but the all-star point guard is happy to reunite with his college teammate.
“Masaya siya, siyempre,” added Dulatre.
