Cycle PH rides towards wellness on April 7

In its continuing effort to motivate Filipinos towards embracing a healthier and more active lifestyle while enhancing family ties, Sun Life holds the Cycle PH on Sunday (April 7) at the Ayala Vermosa Sports Hub in Imus, Cavite, featuring a range of cycling categories suitable for all ages and skill levels.

Participants can choose from individual rides covering 30km and 45km, as well as corporate challenge spanning 60km. Additionally, the event caters to young cyclists with a kids ride for ages 6-15, a family ride that allows a child to bike alongside an adult, and tricycle rides for toddlers aged 2-5, varying in distance from 100 to 500 meters.

Top celebrities, including actor Piolo Pascual, provide star power to the event as they ride alongside both beginners and cycling aficionados through the scenic yet demanding paths of Vermosa.

To complement the cycling event, the Sun Life Cycle Philippines Expo will kick off on Friday (April 5) at Seda Hotel in Bonifacio Global City, offering a hub for fitness enthusiasts.

Vermosa, renowned for hosting premier sporting events like the SEA Games in 2019 and IronKids in 2022, returns as the proud venue for this year’s Sun Life Cycle PH, backed by Lightwater, Manila Bulletin and Tempo.

Since its inception in 2016 by Sun Life, in partnership with the Sunrise Events, Inc./The IRONMAN Group, the event has grown in popularity, attracting a large turnout, including celebrated three-time Tour de France winner Robbie McEwen in its second year, alongside celebrities and sports figures.

Sun Life has emphasized the collaboration between the company’s health advocacy and its product offerings, which include health and insurance solutions designed to safeguard the Filipinos’ well-being.

Beyond the event, Sun Life has broadened its health and wellness initiatives, offering classes, sponsoring fitness clubs, and organizing signature activities like fun runs and endurance races, all aimed at promoting a healthier lifestyle among Filipinos.

The host city has also expressed strong support for the event, recognizing its potential to foster physical fitness and welfare among its residents, especially the youth.
