TNT welcomed the inclusion of Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser, who will immediately provide an impact up front for TNT in the upcoming PBA Philippine Cup.
But team manager Jojo Lastimosa confirmed to PINOYSTEP.COM that the Tropang Giga aren’t done yet in retooling their roster.
“We still need a guard,” Lastimosa responded via Viber message.
TNT tried to lure Rey Nambatac from Rain or Shine via a trade, but couldn’t get the lefty star guard from the Elasto Painters, who opted to trade the former Letran star to Blackwater instead for a future first round and second round picks the Bossing obtained in previous transactions with the Tropang Giga.
But TNT is not giving up on Nambatac, whom the Tropang Giga are looking to fill in the void left by their disgruntled playmaker and ace scorer Mikey Williams.
The controversial Fil-Am had yet to close out a deal with TNT, which terminated the contract of the two-time champion and two-time Finals Most Valuable Player.
“He (Nambatac) is an option,” added Lastimosa.
TNT is also looking at other options aside from Nambatac, especially after the Tropang Giga unloaded one of its guards, Jaydee Tungcab, who became a part of the trade package along with big man Justin Chua to get the services of Ganuelas-Rosser, who will team up with his elder brother, Matt, for the first time in their respective PBA careers.
