It has been the Tan tandem which provided First Global a double barrel attack and provided Smartmat a double barrel problem in their Chinoy Liga Draft League encounter just recently.
Rafael and Carlo Tan both came away with double-double performances in yet another solid win for First Global, whcih demolished Smartmat, 95-70, just recently at the PACE Academy Gym in Quezon City.
Rafael, a mobile big man, provided solid numbers of 28 points and 18 rebounds to go along with three steals while Carlo, the team captain, contributed 24 points and 11 rebounds as First Global dominated its counterpart at almost all fronts.
Jasper Ng also put away a solid game, chipping in 19 markers for First Global, which outscored Smartmat in points inside the shaded lane, 52-34.
First Global’s second unit also drew solid effort from its bench as its second and third units combined for 41 points, which were 15 more than their rivals.
Aaron Reyes also came away with a double-double and kept ahold of AJW’s tough 90-86 win over Trigem.
Reyes pumped in 20 points to go along with 15 rebounds for AJW, which also drew solid numbers from Kenneth Chua, Jedrick Yu and Jayson Ang.
Chua led all scorers with 23 while Yu had 13 and Ang contributed 11 for AJW.
