The two entries in the distaff side are <\/span><span class=\"cf1\">Shairylle<\/span><span class=\"cf1\"> Pores (46 kg) and <\/span><span class=\"cf1\">Ermalie<\/span><span class=\"cf1\"> Caballero (50 kg).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"pf0\"><span class=\"cf1\">Serving as coaches are Don <\/span><span class=\"cf1\">Abnett<\/span><span class=\"cf1\">, Gerson <\/span><span class=\"cf1\">Nietes<\/span><span class=\"cf1\">, former world champion Josie <\/span><span class=\"cf1\">Gabuco<\/span><span class=\"cf1\">, and former Asian Games gold medalist <\/span><span class=\"cf1\">Violito<\/span> <span class=\"cf1\">Payla<\/span><span class=\"cf1\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"pf0\"><span class=\"cf1\">Lobrido<\/span><span class=\"cf1\"> is considered the best bet among the Filipino pugs, having ruled the Fourth Greater Area Bay Youth Boxing Challenge in Shenzhen, China last year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"pf0\"><span class=\"cf1\">He turned 16 just this month and hails from boxing hotbed Bago City, Negros Occidental.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"pf0\"><span class=\"cf1\">Lobrido<\/span><span class=\"cf1\"> also stands as one of the country\u2019s flag bearers during the Youth Games\u2019 formal opening ceremony, alongside <\/span><span class=\"cf1\">volleybelle<\/span> <span class=\"cf1\">Harlyn<\/span> <span class=\"cf1\">Serneche<\/span><span class=\"cf1\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"pf0\"><span class=\"cf1\">Manalo, however, is not discounting the chances of the two lady boxers to contend for a medal finish.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"pf0\"><span class=\"cf1\">Boxing is making its debut in the Youth Games, having not been part of the 2009 (Singapore) and 2013 (Nanjing) editions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--EndFragment --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BAHRAIN \u2013 A consistent medal mine in international competitions, the Philippine boxing team hopes to live up to its billing as the sport makes its fitting debut in the Asian Youth Games here.
