BOHOL, PHILIPPINES — The province of Bohol once again served as the dynamic backdrop for the Giro d\u2019Luca, a three-day, non-competitive cycling celebration held from May 23 to 25, 2025. Covering close to 500 kilometers, the event brought cyclists through a scenic journey across Panglao, Loboc, the famed Chocolate Hills, and other iconic locations across the province.<\/p>\n
Now in its twelfth year, the Giro d\u2019Luca has grown from a private birthday ride into a well-loved regional cycling tradition. It was first launched in 2012 by Gianluca Guidicelli, a restaurateur, entrepreneur, and multisport athlete, as a way to share his passion for health, community, and the natural beauty of the Philippines.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s Giro d\u2019Luca continued its intimate format, welcoming a close-knit group of family members and friends who share a deep appreciation for cycling and the outdoors. Unlike a competitive race, the Giro d\u2019Luca focuses on the experience of bringing riders together to foster camaraderie while enjoying some of the country’s most stunning routes.<\/p>\n
“Celebrating life and community has always been at the heart of the Giro d’ Luca. For over a decade, it’s been incredible to see this passion for cycling grow among fellow athletes. We hope to keep that spirit alive on the roads of Bohol for many years to come,” said Gianluca Guidicelli, founder of the Giro d\u2019Luca.<\/p>\n
The 2025 edition of Giro d\u2019Luca was made possible through the support of valued partners, with The Bellevue Resort Bohol and Bluewater Panglao Beach Resort serving as official hotel partners, providing exceptional hospitality and comfort to cyclists throughout the event. Nature\u2019s Spring also returned as the official hydration partner, ensuring participants stayed refreshed and supported across every leg of the scenic ride.<\/p>\n
