Two-time Most Valuable Player James Yap officially joined Blackwater on Friday, signing a one-year deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But that doesn\u2019t mean the seven-time champion in the Philippine Basketball Association will be playing his last season in the big league.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHindi natin masasabi,\u201d Yap told PinoyStep.com in an exclusive interview. \u201cHanggang kaya ko pa maglaro, lalaro pa ako.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Yap, he has that strong commitment to the fans who had been supporting him all these years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYung iba nga galing pang probinsiya, sinasabi sa akin na ako lang ang pinuntahan nila para panoorin. Kaya kung hindi ako magagamit, nadi-disappoint sila kasi ang layo pa ng pinanggalingan nila tapos hindi nila ako makikita maglaro,\u201d said Yap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But Yap is listening to his body and he feels he can still compete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTingin ko kahit mga 10, 15 minutes a game, kaya ko pa and then kung talagang kailangan pa rin ako ng team sa dulo, basta makakatulong ako gagawin ko,\u201d added Yap, who for several years became the Face of the PBA, a trait which he inherited from four-time MVP Alvin Patromonio, his former teammate and now team manager of Magnolia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Friday, Yap became the newest Bossing when he signed a one-year deal in the presence of team owner Dioceldo Sy and team manager Johnson Martines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
