Over the past few years, Almond Vosotros was the face of the PBA’s 3×3 event and even led the team in representing the country in major international tournaments.<\/p>\n
But this season, Vosotros made his way back to the league’s regular five-on-five tournament and his return was made sweeter when he cracked TNT’s roster.<\/p>\n
“Unang-una sobrang happy and sobrang grateful ako sa TNT for giving me the opportunity to play in the five-on-five,” said Vosotros.<\/p>\n
Drafted in 2015 by Blackwater as its second round pick (13th overall) in the Rookie Draft, Vosotros left the league shortly and embarked a career playing ball in the international circuit.<\/p>\n
He returned in 2018 to play for one season with the Caloocan Supremos in the MPBL, but went back to the PBA to play for TNT.<\/p>\n
When the PBA opened a standalone league — the 3×3 — which lasted for three years, but even before the event folded, Vosotros established a name for himself as the kingpin in this sports discipline, leading TNT to six titles, the most by any team which participated in the event.<\/p>\n
Vosotros’ re-entry proved to be timely, especially since the Tropang Giga decided to part ways with Mikey Williams, who for two seasons was the top gunner and playmaker of the squad,\u00a0 but had a falling out with the team with his contract.<\/p>\n
“My mentality is, I’m always ready,” said Vosotros. “Kung ano maitutulong ko sa team, gagawin ko.”<\/p>\n
According to Vosotros, he had no troubles adjusting to the style of play in the five-on-five.<\/p>\n
“Yung adjustment lang naman is conditioning. Iba yung laro sa five-on-five kaysa 3×3. Mas nakakapagod sa 3×3. Sa five-on-five puwede kang magpahinga kahit mkga four seconds, opensa o depensa,” said Vosotros.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
