Among the rookies set to play in the upcoming season of the PBA, Felix Lemetti of Rain or Shine stands as having a greater chance of hitting the league\u2019s newly-innovated four-point shot.<\/p>\n
Growing up playing ball in Sweden and the United States, Lemetti is excited that this new rule will be implemented when he makes his homecoming.<\/p>\n
Lemetti makes his debut on Tuesday, August 20, when Rain or Shine battles Blackwater at 5 p.m. at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.<\/p>\n
\u2018It\u2019s different. I\u2019ve never experienced it and this will be the first professional league to do it,\u201d Lemetti told The Link Podcast @Pinoystep.com.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think it will be interesting, for sure. I\u2019ve taken some deep treys in my career before. I don\u2019t know when the opportunity presents itself for a four-point shot, but if it does, hopefully I can make one.\u201d<\/p>\n
A natural point guard as what his head coach Yeng Guiao described, Lemetti clarified that he won\u2019t be looking for the shot, but rather get the best scoring opportunity available. His main objective, though, is to make his teammates look better.<\/p>\n
While he knows he can shoot the ball from way out, he picked two other teammates whom he believes had better chance of hitting the four-point shot.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you make one, I think it will get the fans excited,\u201d added Lemetti. \u201cIt\u2019s not gonna be my first choice of shot. I don\u2019t think it\u2019s the best shot. If it presents itself and if I become the first one to make it, that would be a great achievement.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cFor sure, Anton Asistio, he\u2019s a great shooter, and Andrei Caracut, who hit some in practice, are two players very much capable of hitting the four-point shot.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
