THE cornerstones for the country\u2019s solo hosting of the FIVB Volleyball Men\u2019s World Championship 2025 were solidly nailed on Monday in a strategic meeting at the BGC graced by youthful Presidential son\u00a0William Vincent \u201cVinny\u201d Araneta Marcos, who will co-chair the Local Organizing Committee (LOC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With Marcos as co-chair of the LOC are Senator Alan Peter Cayetano and Department of Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frascom, with Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) head Ramon \u201cTats\u201d Suzara as president.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m really confident and I believe everybody know\u2019s what he or she\u2019s doing,\u201d said\u00a0the 25-year-old Marcos, who\u2019s be co-heading an LOC that\u2019s best described as an organization that\u2019s \u201cbeen there, done that and doing this\u201d with aplomb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The LOC consists of 17 Functional Areas headed and manned by the same people who\u2019re responsible for the successful hosting of the Philippine 2019 Southeast Asian Games and co-hosting of the FIBA 2023 World Cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The members of the LOC Board includes Philippine Olympic Committee president Abraham \u201cBambol\u201d Tolentino, Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) chairman Richard Bachmann and MVP Group of Companies head Manuel V. Pangilinan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWith Vince [Marcos] support complimenting the commitment of Senator Cayetano and Secretary Frasco, the Philippines is again guaranteed to be on the world sporting map this time in volleyball,\u201d Suzara told the strategic meeting also attended by representatives from the Philippine Sports Commission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, also PNVF\u2019s Chairman Emeritus, highlighted the value of having the young Marcos at the helm of the country\u2019s FIVB 2025 hosting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s your [the next generation] turn. We really like having younger people in this committee because it\u2019s about passing [the baton of leadership],\u201d Cayetano told Marcos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
