{"id":1279,"date":"2024-05-01T07:09:33","date_gmt":"2024-05-01T07:09:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pinoystep.com\/?p=1279"},"modified":"2024-05-01T07:09:33","modified_gmt":"2024-05-01T07:09:33","slug":"first-lady-vows-full-support-to-fivb-volleyball-mens-world-championship-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pinoystep.com\/index.php\/2024\/05\/01\/first-lady-vows-full-support-to-fivb-volleyball-mens-world-championship-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"First Lady vows full support to FIVB Volleyball Men\u2019s World Championship 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>THE Philippines\u2019 solo hosting of the FIVB Volleyball Men\u2019s World Championship 2025 took one giant stride after First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos vowed her full support during an historic organizational meeting in Malaca\u00f1ang on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe First Lady readily gave her full support to the country\u2019s solo hosting of the world championship,\u201d said Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) president Ramon \u201cTats\u201d Suzara after the meeting at the First Lady\u2019s Office at the PMS Building in the Palace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cShe\u2019s so enthusiastic about the event and showed everyone in the room her love for sports,\u201d Suzara added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In firming up Malacanang\u2019s support, the First Lady asked youngest Presidential son William Vincent Araneta Marcos to join the meeting that also set the foundation of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the 32-nation\u2014including the Philippines\u2014world championship set September 12 to 28 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum and SM Mall of Asia Arena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was one significant meeting that practically nailed all hinges for a smooth and best-ever hosting of the now biennial competition with Senator Alan Peter Cayetano and Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco providing a general brief on the world championship that will be hosted only for the second time by an Asian country after Japan in 1998 and 2006.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFor the first time in several years, we\u2019ll host the FIVB Volleyball Men\u2019s World Championship Philippines 2025,\u201d Cayetano, who is also the chairman emeritus of the PNVF, said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAll systems are now off and running and we\u2019re bound to become the best host ever for the world championship,\u201d the senator added, emphasizing the need for all channels to cover for wider reach of the global event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drawing parallels to the successful hosting of previous international sporting events like the 2019 SouthEast Asian Games and the 2023 FIBA Championship, Cayetano remarked that this will also be another opportunity for the Philippines to shine on the global stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We are still known worldwide as the most hospitable people.
