CW Home Depot, Eco Energy demolish Chinoy Liga rivals

CW Home Depot and Eco Energy posted similar easy victories over their rivals and boosted their respective chances in the Chinoy Liga Season 2 at the WinterPine Basketball Court in Quezon City just recently.

The undefeated CW Home Depot flexed its muscle early then hold off a late rally by Tramontina before posting an 85-77 triumph. CW Home Depot forged a three-way tie for the lead with Nutricare and Omote at 4-0 and looked every bit of a championship contender with Mark Chan coming away with a near triple-double performance.

Chan finished the game with 20 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists while two other teammates produced double-digit outputs. Enzo King and Tim Cu each tallied 10 markers for CW Home Depot, whose bench points proved to be overpowering as its second unit submitted 65 points, 42 points more than their counterparts.

CW Home Depot also generated more points from inside the shaded lane with 46 as compared to Tramontina’s 32.

Also displaying balance firepower was Eco Energy, which shaded Sunrise, 75-60.

Mark Yves Chan presided on his team’s offense with 24 markers while also pulling down eight boards and dishing out three dimes.

Patrick Ang fell a rebound short of posting a double-double performance with 15 points and nine rebounds while King Go and Paul Aquilino each tallied 11 markers for Eco Energy, which proved to be more superior against the always undermanned Sunrise squad.

Eco Energy’s bench produced 35 points as compared to a measly seven-point output from Sunrise.
