Powerhouse teams Nutri Care and CW Home Depot easily disposed of rivals to remain unbeaten in the Chinoy Liga Season 2 at the Winterpine Basketball Court just recently.
Getting another solid game from Drei Hatamosa, who hit six three-point shots, and solid production from the rest of the crew, Nutricare held off repeated uprisings from Bosny, 88-79, even as CW Home Depot also got splendid shooting from Chester Chen in drubbing Camco, 106-83.
All of Hatamosa’s points came from beyond the arc, but Nutri Care wasn’t just a one-man team as Jim Yonzon and Henrison Nash also came away with double-figure outputs. Yonzon, the team’s pillar of strength, went two reboiunds short of producing a double-double game as he poured in 15 points on top of eight boards.
The shifty guard Nash, on the other hand, contributed 14 markers, but also had four rebounds and six assists in a solid, all-around game.
So overpowering was Nurtricare’s second unit, which completely outplayed its counterpart, 50-7. Nutricare also grabbed more rebounds, 48-39.
Chen was even deadlier with his shooting, hitting 8-of-12 shots from the three-point region as CW Home Depot led from start to finish and put away its rival early. He ended up with 28 markers.
Like Nutricare, CW Home Depot’s bench production was even more superb than its rival as generated 57 points from its shock troopers compared to only 14 from Camco and was even more aggressive in getting more fast breaks, scoring 59 points on transition plays, which were 33 points more than their counterparts.
