CW Home Depot experienced stiff resistance from Sunrise, but still able to pull off a 102-92 win for its second straight victory in the Chinoy Liga Season 2 at the Winterpine Covered Court in Quezon City.
Mark Chan spearheaded CW Home Depot’s onslaught as he finished with a double-double performance even as the team worked so hard in generating more second-chance points. Chan wound up with 21 points to go along with 10 rebounds while Art Andres also made key contributions for his squad.
Andres backed up Chan with 17 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals for CW Home Depot, which produced 20 second-chance points, nine more than its rival.
CW Home Depot also took advantage of its height and heft in grabbing more rebounds, 62-45.
Also joining CW Home Depot on top of the standings is Nutricare, which totally outplayed Camco, 94-74.
Four players led by Henrison Nash tallied double figures as the talented guard compiled big numbers of 26 points, four rebounds and eight assists for Nutricare, which scored 24 points from Camco’s total 17 turnovers. Backing up Nash were Drei Hatamosa, Steve Hu and Wilson Ang.
Hatamosa’s torrid shooting allowed Nutricare to pull away early as he hit five of the total 11 three-point shots made by Nutricare on his way to producing 21 markers. Hu, on the other hand, finished with a double-double performance of 13 points and 10 rebounds while Ang added 11 markers.
Nutricare joined CW Home Depot and Omote in a share of the lead in this early phase of the tournament as they all carry 2-0 slates.
