A crack Fil-Canadian team is going to represent Canada when they compete in a four-nation, First International Hotshots Basketball Cup 2024 to be held at the PACE Academy Gym in Quezon City.
Glenn Terania, founder and managing director of Hotshots Basketball, confirmed that young Pinoy ballers based in Canada are going to play in this event broken down in four divisions – 13-under, 15-under, 17-under and 19-under.
Aside from Canada, other countries competing in this event are Vietnam and Indonesia, which will send its local players, and host Philippines.
The group of Fil-Canadians will represent Canada East and FBA Durham Canada in 15-under division, Canada East, Canada Central and North York in the 17-under division and FBA Durham in the 19-under division.
Indonesia will be bannered by Aras Gading Muda in the 15-under and 17-under divisions while Vietnam will field in teams to compete in the 19-under, carrying Jamfam.
But the local clubs from the Philippines are ready to compete and the country’s representatives are:

- EDSCI Green Knights (15-under, 17-under)
- Skipper Hoops (17-under)
- Olas Patriots (19-under)
- Golden Bears (17-under)
- Slingers 8.0 (19-under)
- Top Gun Elite (13-under)
- Seahawks (13-under)
