Quezon ruled its playoff encounter against Novaliches like a titan and won convincingly, 107-72, in the PSL President’s Cup at the Filoil-EcoOil Centre in San Juan.
Six players wound up in double figures for the Titans, who hit a total of 16 three-point shots and made 53% (33-of-62) clip from the field.
Rodel Gravera finished with 20 points to lead the way for the Titans, who will be facing the Caloocan Supremos in the quarterfinal round.
Domark Matillano contributed 15 markers and a high +27 in player efficiency.
“Technically, para talaga kaming bagong team. We’re still trying to find our chemistry,” said Quezon coach Etic Gonzales. “But to establish the chemistry, it’s more about understanding the system first. Hanggang ngayon kasi, medyo nangangapa pa yung iba.”
Robin Roño chipped in 12 points, Will Gozum and Judel Fuentes tallied 11 points apiece and Gab Banal produced 10 as the Titans showed balance display of firepower in knocking out Novaliches.
