For the third straight game, the Blue Hawks of Immaculada Concepcion were soaring high and they took the full flight in beating Emilio Aguinaldo College-Cavite, 99-74 , in the NCRAA men’s basketball tournament Season 30 at thew Bestlink College of the Philippines gym just recently.
Totoy Ramirez erupted for 27 points to lead the charge of the Blue Hawks, who coasted to their fifth win in seven games and moved to solo third spot in the team standings.
Alfred Flores backed up Ramirez with his 24-point contribution as the two were virtually unstoppable in the backcourt for the defending champion ICC squad, which also drew 16 points from big man Jared Vento.
ICC scored 27 points coming off EAC’s 20 turnovers, but the Blue Hawks’ domination were clearly more felt on their transition game as they scored 25 points coming off from fast breaks, 12 more than their counterparts.
Also winning were Philippine Merchant Marine School and La Salle-Dasmariñas, which pulled off contrasting wins.
The Mariners carved out a tough 88-81 triumph over Bestlink, while La Salle-Dasma had an easier time disposing of Lyceum-Laguna, 100-86.
