Caloocan received a token resistance from NKT and prevailed on convincing fashion, 100-69, in the PSL President’s Cup just recently at the Filoil-EcoOil Centre in San Juan.
The Supremos drew double-digit production from five players led by Joggy Laude and Joel Lee Yu, who tallied 13 points apiece, allowing Caloocan to post its 13th win with still a game left on its elimination round assignment.
Jeramer Cabanag and Paul Sanga each came away with 11 markers while Romel Calahat contributed 10 to typify the Supremos’ well-balanced production.
So superb was Caloocan’s firepower as it shot 54% (40-of-73) from the field compared to only 37% (26-of-70) from NKT.
The Supremos also lorded it over in the other departments, beating their rivals convincingly on rebounds, assists, points inside the paint and bench points.
