The Titans of Quezon banked on their superb bench firepower to outplay the Mustangs of MisOr, 87-63, in the PSL President’s Cup just recently at the Filoil-EcoOil Centre in San Juan.
A total of 53 points were produced by the Titans, 28 points more than their counterparts, as they easily picked up their 13th win in 16 games to solidify their hold of the fourth spot.
MisOr dropped to 8-9 in the team standings and down to the 10th spot, putting them out of the race for a possible twice-to-beat advantage in the next round.
All but one player from the 15-man roster of the Titans were able to score, showing their depth and readiness to compete.
Judel Fuentes, the reliable shooting guard, led the way with 12 markers, followed by Domark Matillano with 11 while LJ Gonzales and Jason Opiso produced 10 points apiece for Quezon, which hit 42% from the three-point region, sinking 12 of its 28 attempts from downtown.
Rudy Lingganay, back in action after getting his documents cleared by the Games and Amusement Board, paced the Mustangs with 15 points.
