The Pilipinas Super League brings its act to Mindanao for its regional tournament to be hosted by Tagum, Davao del Norte.
Teams from Cagayan de Oro Higalas, Iligan City Lanao del Norte, Digos, Davao del Sur, Kidapawan City, Malita, Davao Occidental, Davao City and Mati, Davao Oriental will take part in this qualifying event for the national tournament.
Former Philippine Basketball Association star Peter June Simon will serve as the deputy commissioner of the Mindanao regional event.
The top two teams in the regional event will join the other top two qualifiers from Luzon, Visayas and the National Capital Region and the champion and the runner-up in the national level will compete in the PSL Global Challenge, according to league commissioner Alan Caidic.
The PSL has partnered with North America Basketball Association where multi-titled collegiate coach Larry Albano serves as one of the key officials.
Albano visited the PSL, sealing the partnership that will help elevate and develop grassroots programs.
