Caloocan brought in its third coach in the PSL President’s Cup in Alex Angeles and immediately, the mentor who guided Bacoor to a deep run to the playoffs in another tournament instilled his winning touch.
The Supremos of Caloocan had no trouble embracing Angeles’ system and displayed it in beating Bicol convincingly, 119-72, just recently at the Filoil-EcoOil Centre in San Juan.
Six players ended in double figures for the Supremos led by Joggy Laude with 13 points.
Paul Sanga and Romel Calahat poured in 12 apiece while Jon Bonsubre and Riel Cervantes had 11 each and Mac Baracael contributed 10 for the Supremos, who picked up their 12th win in 15 games.
Bicol dropped to 1-14 and is virtually out of the race for a playoff berth.
Angeles came in as the third coach to handle Caloocan.
The Supremos started the season with coach Robert Sison handling the team, but the mild-mannered mentor had differences with the management and was replaced by his deputy, Ronnie Dojillo, on an interim capacity.
