Blackwater has just scored an early triumph even before the start of the Philippine Basketball Association Philippine Cup.
Just a few days after securing the services of two-time Most Valuable Player James Yap, the Bossing had just added another former scoring ace in Rey Nambatac after the team agreed on a trade with Rain or Shine.
The PBA Commissioner’s Office immediately approved the trade that will allow the Bossing to acquire Nambatac in exchange for the 49th season’s first round draft pick (2024) and 50th season’s second round draft pick (2025), which they’ve obtained from TNT.
Having Yap and Nambatac playing for the Bossing in the upcoming conference will easily give the team an easy plus 20.
”That’s the story. Plus 20 points. That’s why I got them,” wrote Blackwater team owner Dioceldo Sy.
That is if Nambatac stays on as TNT is reportedly in hot pursuit of the lefty gunner.
