1Munti pulled off a stunning 76-69 upset win over Caloocan to stay in the playoff hunt in the PSL President’s Cup at the Central Recreational and Convention Center in Quezon City just recently.
Ryusei Koga and John Cantimbuhan provided the 1-2 punch for 1Munti and the double-barrel headache against the Supremos in completing this shocking victory.
1Munti’s deadly guard combo combined for 31 points as they proved to be a step ahead faster than the Supremos defenders.
With the win, 1Munti improved its win-loss record to 8-5 while dealing the Supremos their third loss in 12 matches.
But Koga and Cantimbuhan also drew support from their second stringers, who produced 43 points the entire game, 14 more than their counterparts.
